NEW HOPE HELPS THE COMMUNITY

OUR FIRST FOOD DRIVE

Job Well DoneA SUCCESS!

In an effort to help the many families in our area who are suffering from hunger and poverty, New Hope joined together to collect items for the National Capital Area Food Bank.  Our school goal was to gather 500 items.  The families of NHA contributed over 750 items! Congratulations to the 1st Grade class for donating the most.

REPORT ON THE HEATING SYSTEM

We're pleased to report that all the bugs should be completely worked out for our heating system by the time we return from Thanksgiving Vacation.  This includes a new independent classroom controlled, baseboard heating system for the kindergarten and first grade rooms.  This system will allow these two rooms to regulate their comfort level better since their rooms tend to lose heat more readily with three walls exposed to the exterior and no insulating classrooms above them.  We appreciate everyone's patience and look forward to a warm and toasty winter!
