Friday, January 16^th is the end of the second quarter.  Report cards will go home on Thursday, January 29^th. 

SCHOOL CLOSED JANUARY 19^TH & 20^TH

NHA will be closed for ALL on January 19^th in observance of Martin Luther King Day.  We are also closed for STUDENTS on January 20^th for Report Card preparations for teachers.

RE-REGISTRATION PACKETS DUE FRIDAY, JANUARY 23^RD TO GUARANTEE YOUR CHILD'S SPOT FOR 2009-2010

Re-registration has been sent home to all families.  Papers are due in the office to reserve your child's place for the Sept. '09 - June '10 school year by Friday, January 23^rd along with a re-registration fee of $75 ($35 for preschool).  After Jan. 23^rd, re-registration fees increase to $100 (for preschool $50).  At that time your child will be competing for placement with all new families who are currently applying.

PARENT NETWORKING NIGHT

FRIDAY, JANUARY 30^TH

NHA's PTA will sponsor a Parent Networking Night on Friday, January 30^th at 6:15 p.m. in the Multi-purpose room.  This is an opportunity for parents to introduce themselves, exchange business cards and present your service.  Childcare will be provided and dinner will be available for purchase.  Please RSVP for this event by signing the RSVP sheet located in the Main Entryway.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!

Students in grades 8 and above are needed as Student Ambassadors for our Open House events on 1/24 and 2/7.  Students will assist visitors by directing them to the classrooms and help set-up and clean up for the event.  If interested, please register in the Main Office.

CO-OP/COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!

Mrs. Muhammad is looking for volunteers to help organize NHA's library. She is seeking responsible students or parents who are willing to come in after school to learn the system and help in the maintenance of the facility.  Please contact Mrs. Dolores Muhammad (dmuhammad "AT" newhopeacademy "DOT" org), or call the Main Office.
